Wilson to slash public service in $22 billion budget repair plan
Opposition Leader Jess Wilson unveiled a $22 billion budget repair plan Friday that would cut one in seven public service jobs and return Victoria to a cash surplus within six years. The hiring freeze would reduce full-time equivalent positions from 49,408 to 42,224 by July 2029, excluding teachers, police and firefighters.
