Liddell power station chimneys come crashing down
AGL detonated explosives to demolish two 168-metre concrete chimneys at the Liddell power station near Muswellbrook, Australia. The coal-fired facility closed in April 2023 after more than 50 years of operation due to aging equipment failures. The site will be redeveloped into a renewable energy and battery storage.
