Hantavirus-hit cruise ship to head to Spain as human-human transmission suspected
Spain agreed Tuesday to allow the Dutch-flagged MV Hondius, a cruise ship hit by a deadly hantavirus outbreak, to dock in the Canary Islands. Three people have died and several others are infected aboard the vessel carrying 150 people from 23 countries. The World Health Organisation suspects rare human-to-human transmission occurred among close contacts.
