Neale Daniher, influential Melbourne coach and MND advocate, dies at home
Neale Daniher, Melbourne Football Club coach who led the Demons to the 2000 grand final and later became a motor neurone disease advocate, died at his Canterbury home. The renowned coach mentored Chris Fagan, current Brisbane Lions premiership coach, who credited Daniher for believing in him. Daniher was named 2025 Australian.
