Townsville mayor Nick Dametto, a former state MP, is being investigated over an alleged assault at a bar on Magnetic Island in North Queensland at the weekend. Police are investigating an altercation between a 42-year-old man and a 28-year-old man at a Nelly Bay Road business on Sunday, June 7.
