Two rescued koalas complete recovery after weeks of intensive care
Two male koalas trapped in a 1.5-metre-deep mud hole at a Morayfield construction site north of Brisbane have fully recovered after weeks of intensive care. Named Fudge and Santino, the animals were hypothermic and had ingested mud when rescued. Both spent seven to nine weeks at Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital receiving treatment for injuries and infections before returning.
