Australian women and children linked to Islamic State arrive home today
Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade denied having contact with Syrian officials about returning Australian women and children linked to Islamic State, despite a Syrian government official claiming otherwise. Thirteen women and children are expected to arrive in Australia today after nearly seven years in a Syrian detention camp. DFAT stated it is not repatriating people from Syria.
