French authorities confine 1,700 cruise ship passengers over norovirus outbreak
French authorities confined more than 1,700 passengers and crew aboard the cruise ship Ambition in Bordeaux on Tuesday following a suspected norovirus outbreak. About 50 people showed symptoms of gastrointestinal illness, with the vessel carrying mostly British and Irish nationals. All passengers and crew remain onboard pending test results from Bordeaux University hospital.
