Health Star Rating: Warning as Australia moves to mandate food labels on
The Health Star Rating (HSR) system set to feature on thousands of new grocery store items must be “free of industry interference” if it is to be a win for shoppers, experts say. Food ministers voted in February to progress a plan that will make the interpretive front-of-pack nutrition labels compulsory for almost all packaged foods.
