Boots Riley says Cannes rejected three of his films for HBO's The
Filmmaker Boots Riley said the Cannes Film Festival rejected his films "I Love Boosters," "Sorry to Bother You," and "I'm a Virgo," choosing HBO's "The Idol" instead. Riley's crime comedy starring Keke Palmer and LaKeith Stanfield launched at SXSW on May 22. "They just don't like my stuff. All good," Riley wrote.
