Melbourne man was high on synthetic drug when he murdered friend
Mark Ludbrook was sentenced to 19 years in prison Thursday after stabbing friend Autumn Baker to death in August 2023 while high on PCE, a synthetic drug misrepresented as ketamine. The Melbourne man will be eligible for parole in June 2038. Justice James Gorton rejected Ludbrook's argument that drug intoxication excused the murder.
