Snow blanketed Victorian alpine resorts Thursday as a Southern Ocean cold front swept across southeastern Australia, with Victoria experiencing its coldest day of the year. Temperatures plunged to 14 degrees in Melbourne, while snow fell at elevations above 600 metres in areas including Kinglake and Healesville northeast of Melbourne.
