NASA awards contracts to build moon base equipment by 2028
NASA awarded hundreds of millions in contracts Tuesday to four US companies to build landers, rovers and drones for a moon base, aiming to land astronauts by 2028. Blue Origin will provide landers while Astrolab and Lunar Outpost build lunar terrain vehicles for the south pole. The Trump administration is pushing to establish a permanent lunar outpost by 2030.
