Snow falls on coldest day of the year in Victoria
Early snow blanketed Victoria's alpine resorts Thursday as a cold front from the Southern Ocean brought the state's coldest day of the year. Snow fell from 600 metres elevation, with the snow level expected to rise to 1,400 metres by Friday. Melbourne's top temperature reached just 14 degrees, with conditions warming significantly.
