Brisbane’s most popular libraries revealed amid surge in visitors
Brisbane's most popular libraries attracted surging visitor numbers, with 100,000 additional visits during the first five months of 2025 compared to last year, according to a city council budget update released Tuesday. Chermside, Wynnum and Kenmore libraries accounted for more than half the new visits. In total, 4.4 million physical items were borrowed across the city's 33 libraries.
