Factory workers reunite 16 years after closure of major food manufacturer
Former workers of South Australia's Berrivale cannery reunited in March 2026, more than 16 years after the facility closed in 2010. The factory once employed over 1,000 workers and produced one in every five oranges grown in Australia. Organizers Carol Carter and Rhonda Voigt said the gathering followed losses of colleagues and aimed to preserve the Riverland manufacturing legacy.
