Snow falls on coldest day of the year in Melbourne
Snow blanketed Victorian alpine resorts Thursday as a Southern Ocean cold front brought Victoria's coldest day of the year, with temperatures reaching just 14 degrees. The Bureau of Meteorology said snow fell at elevations above 600 metres, with reports from Kinglake, Healesville, and Mount Macedon near Melbourne. Temperatures will rise significantly in coming days, reaching 21 degrees within.
