Mark Duplass defends young filmmaker Kane Parsons as true director of Backrooms
"Backrooms" star Mark Duplass defended 20-year-old filmmaker Kane Parsons on Tuesday against rumors he didn't actually direct the upcoming A24 horror film. Duplass wrote on X that Parsons was "100% in control" on set, more so than many older directors. The film, based on Parsons' YouTube series, stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and features 30,000 square feet of built.
