Mafia back in class and ready to fire, trainer says
Trainer Mitch Beer says gelding Mafia is primed to fire after returning to lower grade in the Kia Northern Region Dealer Of The Year Handicap at Kensington today. The five-year-old finished fourth at Canterbury three weeks ago in Benchmark 78 before stepping back to grade 72. Beer believes improved fitness and reduced class will deliver a winning performance.
