Thousands left without power in Melbourne CBD after local outage
A burst water main flooded a Melbourne CBD substation Monday, cutting power to about 10,000 customers including train lines, traffic lights and hospitals. Citipower crews worked to remove floodwaters from the zone substation on Little Collins Street. As of 6pm, more than 5,300 people remained without power, with up to 40 traffic lights disabled across the CBD and surrounding areas.
