Reserve Bank research released Thursday found wealthy older Australians are using negative gearing and capital gains tax concessions to dominate the property market, pushing up prices for lower-income buyers. The median age of housing investors climbed from 45 to 51 since 2000, with investors over 60 doubling to 28 percent.
