‘No longer science fiction’: Gold Coast joins race for flying taxis
Gold Coast signed an agreement with Skyports Infrastructure on Tuesday to develop three to four vertiports for electric flying taxis across the city. A trip from the airport to Broadbeach could take five to seven minutes by air versus 45 minutes by car. Vertiports typically take 12 to 18 months to build and would include charging facilities and compact terminals.
