Harry Hollinsworth digitises 11 million negatives to preserve Australian history
Photo specialist Harry Hollinsworth is digitising 11 million negatives at The Sydney Morning Herald's archive in Sydney to preserve Australian history. The project, part of a five-year initiative, aims to create a searchable online archive by the Herald's bicentenary in 2031. So far, Hollinsworth saved 1,900 images, including notable moments from the 1956 Summer Olympics.
