Mortal Kombat II finally features tournament but disappoints with choppy fights
Mortal Kombat II, the sequel to 2021's gory fighting game adaptation, finally features an actual tournament but remains disappointingly unexciting. Director Simon McQuoid returns with Karl Urban joining returning cast members Jessica McNamee and Mehcad Brooks. The film suffers from choppy fight choreography, tonal inconsistency, and convoluted plotting about realms and amulets that fails to translate from game to screen.
