Collingwood rests Pendlebury before breaking AFL games record next week
Collingwood coach Craig McRae defended his plan to rest Scott Pendlebury before the veteran midfielder breaks Brent Harvey's VFL/AFL games record, saying the 38-year-old is the "least selfish" person at the club. Pendlebury will equal Harvey's 432-game mark against Geelong on Saturday, then sit out Sydney's match before breaking the record against West Coast in Round 11.
