100 brawling youths disrupt Paniyiri festival, assault patrons
A large brawl involving 100 youths has disrupted the 50th-anniversary celebrations of one of Queensland’s largest multicultural festivals. Police were called to the Paniyiri Greek Festival in South Brisbane’s Musgrave Park just before 9pm on Saturday following reports of a large disturbance involving approximately 100 youths near Edmondstone Street. The youths were allegedly assaulting attendees of the festival.
