Utah mother Kouri Richins sentenced to life without parole for husband murder
Kouri Richins, a Utah mother who published a children's book about grief, was sentenced Wednesday to life without parole for murdering her husband Eric by lacing his cocktail with five times the lethal fentanyl dose in 2022. She was also convicted of insurance fraud and attempted murder for an earlier poisoning attempt. Richins maintains her innocence and plans to appeal.
