Police Officers Killed During Search Warrant Execution at Victorian Property
Australian police officers Detective Leading Senior Constable Neal Thompson and Senior Constable Vadim de Waart-Hottart were fatally shot during a search warrant execution at a Porepunkah property in August 2025. Suspect Dezi Freeman opened fire with a shotgun after refusing to exit his converted bus home, killing both officers and injuring two others. Freeman died in March 2026.
