Woman fighting for life after being struck by police car
A woman in her 70s has been seriously injured after she was hit by a police car. She was walking at the intersection of Sheridan Street and Lily Street in Cairns about 7am on Thursday when the car struck her, police said. She suffered life-threatening injuries. The officers inside the car immediately provided first aid to the woman.
