Mother accused of poisoning son with oxycodone-spiked smoothie at Gold Coast home
Prosecutors argued Maree Crabtree, 59, killed her son Jonathan with a drug-spiked smoothie on July 19, 2017, at their Gold Coast home. Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Caroline Marco told jurors Jonathan died from a toxic oxycodone dose causing him to choke on his vomit. Crabtree's daughter testified her mother knew Jonathan was dead before calling paramedics.
