Wasp that eats host alive named after Attenborough for his 100th birthday
Researchers at London's Natural History Museum named a parasitic Chilean wasp Attenboroughnculus tau after broadcaster Sir David Attenborough for his 100th birthday on May 8. The brownish wasp, only 3.5 millimetres long, features two distinctive t-shaped markings on its abdomen. Attenborough now has over 50 species named after him, including five other wasps.
