Uefa drags its heels over action against Russia’s fake Ukrainian clubs
UEFA has taken no action against fake versions of Ukrainian clubs Shakhtar Donetsk and Zorya Luhansk competing in Russia's fourth-tier league despite a Ukrainian Football Association request last October. The imitation clubs, based in Russian cities but claiming occupied Ukrainian addresses, are competing alongside Crimean sides in the same division. UEFA declined to comment on the situation.
