CFMEU training arm cut from government funding after audit
Victoria's government cut CFMEU Education and Training from government funding this year following a compliance audit. The union's training arm received $1.4 million through the Skills First program in 2024-25 but will enroll no new subsidised students in 2026. The decision came after the organisation's manager was arrested on fraud charges involving allegedly falsified invoices.
