Sydney couple fleeced bank of more than $40m, police allege
A Sydney couple arrested Tuesday faces charges of facilitating over $40 million in bank fraud linked to the Penthouse Syndicate. Huy Tin Nguyen, 34, a former NAB and Commonwealth Bank employee, and his wife Thu Huong Nguyen, 35, a mortgage broker, allegedly exploited insider knowledge to orchestrate fraudulent loans.
