Boy's alleged plane hijack plan at Avalon Airport 'politically motivated', Melbourne court
Prosecutors have claimed a teen accused of trying to hijack a commercial plane was politically motivated as they pushed for his case to be heard in a higher court. The now-19-year-old is accused of bringing a firearm and fake bomb onto an aircraft at Avalon Airport, southwest of Melbourne , in March 2025.
