Professors sue Atlanta’s Emory University over handling of Israel-Gaza protests
Three tenured Emory University professors sued the Atlanta school Friday over its handling of 2024 Gaza protests, alleging wrongful arrests after police forcibly disbanded an encampment. Philosophy department chair Noëlle McAfee said the administration called state troopers onto campus and deployed tear gas and rubber bullets within an hour of the protest's start.
