Karlovy Vary Festival expands industry program to global filmmakers and debuts Book-to-Screen
The Karlovy Vary International Film Festival expanded its industry program, renaming KVIFF Eastern Promises to KVIFF Promises and opening it to projects worldwide, not just Central and Eastern Europe. The July 5-8 event at Kaiserbad will debut Book-to-Screen, a partnership presenting literary works for film adaptation, alongside panels on true crime ethics, alternative distribution, and AI tools.
