Sydney's new airport begins cargo operations on July 9, ending monopoly
Sydney's flight path changes will begin on July 9, allowing cargo planes to land at the new $6 billion Western Sydney Airport later this month. This shift will end Kingsford Smith Airport's monopoly and is expected to handle up to 293,000 tonnes of cargo by 2030. Dnata has signed on as the airport's third cargo operator.
