Gold Coast ups its culture credentials with appointment of Brisbane arts luminary
John Kotzas, former chief executive of Queensland Performing Arts Centre for 15 years, will head arts and culture at Experience Gold Coast starting May 2027. He will oversee HOTA, Home of the Arts, a cultural precinct featuring Australia's largest regional art gallery outside capital cities. The appointment comes ahead of Brisbane 2032 Olympics.
