WA invests $4.7 billion to boost housing supply and help first-home buyers
Western Australia's Treasurer Rita Saffioti announced a $4.7 billion housing investment in the state budget, including $694 million for DevelopmentWA to create thousands of residential lots. First-home buyers will pay no stamp duty on newly built homes up to $600,000, a $100,000 threshold increase. Saffioti said the initiatives targeting vacant land and off-plan developments will boost supply without inflating prices.
