Man charged after newborn allegedly left with life-threatening head injuries on Sunshine
A man has been charged after allegedly causing serious head injuries to a nine-week-old baby on the Sunshine Coast . The baby boy was rushed to the intensive care unit at Sunshine Coast University Hospital with “life-threatening” injuries about 11pm on April 24, police said. He had allegedly suffered extensive brain and optical trauma, as well as multiple fractures.
