Reserve Bank research released Thursday found wealthy older Australians are using negative gearing and capital gains tax breaks to dominate the property market, pushing up house prices and household debt. The median age of property investors climbed from 45 to 51 since 2000, with those over 60 doubling to 28 percent of investors.
