Man returns medieval tiles stolen from priory 60 years ago as boy
Simon White, 68, returned three medieval tiles he took from Wenlock Priory in Shropshire as a nine-year-old boy in the late 1960s. The fragments, dating to the 13th-14th century, were discovered in an old toffee tin during his house move. English Heritage confirmed one tile features a previously unknown dragon motif, making the return particularly significant for the historic.
