MBC Shahid acquires Lebanese comedian John Achkar's groundbreaking Arabic stand-up special
Lebanese comedian John Achkar's stand-up special "Tryin'" has been acquired by Middle Eastern streamer MBC Shahid, marking the first Arabic-language comedy performance filmed at Paris' L'Olympia Hall. The special, recorded October 23, launches May 27 across the Middle East and North Africa region exclusively. Front Row Filmed Entertainment produced the deal, with five additional Arabic stand-up titles in development.
