Tesla’s newest electric vehicle could give it a much-needed spark
Tesla has begun taking orders for the Semi, an electric heavy truck priced around $290,000 for an 800-kilometre range model. The Semi undercuts competitors like Daimler and Volvo by at least $110,000 while offering superior range, addressing cost and distance concerns deterring fleet purchases. Tesla is assembling the truck in Nevada with capacity for 50,000 units annually.
