Parramatta council worker’s emails were read on CEO’s orders, ICAC told
Former Parramatta Council chief executive Gail Connolly approved surveillance of employee Sheree Gover's emails based on an unsubstantiated theory she was orchestrating complaints, an anti-corruption inquiry heard Thursday. Acting manager Mark Deayton testified Connolly authorized the email search without evidence of wrongdoing. The surveillance followed six bullying complaints made to the council's confidential Stopline system in 2023.
