Australia mandates 20 per cent gas reservation for LNG exporters nationally
Australia's federal government released a draft domestic gas reservation scheme Monday requiring liquefied natural gas exporters to supply 20 per cent of exports for domestic use, up from Western Australia's current 15 per cent requirement. The national framework takes effect July 2025, though WA says its existing state-based scheme remains compatible.
