City of Vincent councillors approve 40.9 percent rate hike on vacant properties
City of Vincent councillors unanimously approved a 40.9 percent rate increase on vacant residential properties to combat antisocial behavior on Tuesday. Mayor Alison Xamon cited ongoing complaints from residents as a driving factor. The council will provide exemptions for land that is either newly vacant or has active building permits.
