Sonny Rollins, Jazz’s ‘Saxophone Colossus,’ Dies at 95
Sonny Rollins, the tenor saxophonist known as the "Saxophone Colossus," died at 95, his family announced. The jazz innovator composed standards including "Airegin," "Doxy" and "St. Thomas," and recorded the landmark 1957 album "Way Out West."
