Fugitive arrested over death of Alice Springs girl
Jefferson Lewis, 47, was arrested Thursday night in Alice Springs after five days on the run following the death of a five-year-old girl. Police found the child's body near Todd River on Thursday, five kilometers south of Old Timers Aboriginal Town Camp where she vanished Saturday. Lewis had been the subject of one of the Northern Territory's largest manhunts.
